Marta Pisco

Marta Pisco, Theatre maker, born in 15.11.1974 in Lisbon, Portugal, educated as an architect, did her master at DasArts in Amsterdam, working since 2003 as a performer, coach, producer and visual arts curator – both in Brazil and with theatre group Space, a Hungarian-Dutch company based in Amsterdam. This company develops living heritage apps and mockumentary theatre, like Crash Course Refugee, about how to become a refugee within an hour, for the moment that Amsterdam will be under water. From Sep 2016 to July 2017, she worked as a producer / programmer / curator for Ondertussen Amsterdam, a platform for artists with and without a refugee background. In this function, she co-programmed and co-produced the 1st prize for Museumnacht 2016, where Ondertussen participated together with the Holocaust Museum. Marta has travelled and worked in the Middle East, mainly with her project The Green Monster. In 2008 Marta did her first version of this project in Aleppo, Syria. She was interested in coming back to the country in a form that would not show that she was a western woman, and see how people would react to that. From that experience, The Green Monster went on to Beirut, Amsterdam and Luxembourg (2016). Since April 2017, Marta is involved in establishing Radio Patrin Portugal, an international Roma radio that aims at informing, educating and raising awareness of Romani culture in the world. During the last parliamentary elections in Holland she developed “Innoculate Now!”, a program around fake-news, decision making and the possibility of a vaccine against un-truth. Marta is also a founding member of The Authentics (April 2018), a soft-skills coaching company based in Amsterdam.
